Broke down within a year and months to repair

I love the features of the dryer. Especially the safety features. We recently moved to a home and nearly immediately the dryer notified us that the outlet vent was 80 clogged. We got the vent tube in the wall of the house cleaned and it has been great with no further notification. Without that notice from the dryer we could have had real issues. Beyond that it works fantastic and we dont have issues with things not drying.

First off the features offered here are plentiful and provide a myriad of options for personalized programs dry times heat strengths and scheduled loadsbut some serious connectivity issues overly complicated set up and a near total wifi system crash caused by faulty software home ac crashed due to its interference and required professional service to rectify has limited our use of thissmart dryer to the same functions that a non-smart variant could just as easily achieve. Multiple issues from infinitely drying loads that continued to yield damp laundry to constant connectivity problems between the home app companion devices and even direct functionality with the LG thinQ application on our home computer rendered all but the most basic functions too cumbersome and inconvenient to bother with. Which is a shame since the build quality of the unit itself and a few thoughtful details integrated into the interface had given us high hopes and coupled with LGs reputation for ingenuity and intuitive app integration we came into this expecting a level of quality that in this case is sadly missing.. For us this is a serious stumble by LG and has given us serious pause moving forward on whether or not to attempt using another LG product in this particular line up..

I have had this LG Ultra Large Capacity Electric dryer since early January and am very happy with it. Some great features include the door which you can open in two ways for easy loading and unloading. Also like the FlowSence Duct Clogging and Clean Filter indicators. I feel safer: less threat of a fire from overlooking the duct for long periods of time - now I get notification of when it needs cleaning. The machine runs quietly and seems solidly built.

I like the LG Dryer as it matches the LG Washer we already had. There are plenty of options for drying clothes. The integration with the app works well to let me know when a load is done or when there is an issue with the unit. This unit generates a lot of lint for our clothes. The alerts in the app let us know when the vent needs to be cleaned which helps alot.

Very disappointed 1-800-NO-HELP

I purchased my LG washer dryer and only used less than 5 times I soon after started some renovations in my home and covered the washer dryer for when the work was finished. Now that the work is finished the dryer wont turn on and LG says its out of warranty. I get there are rules but Ive truly only used 5 times or less Ive had an electrician out and its getting power. LG should send a repairman given the circumstances. I will not purchase any LG products in the future since they dont stand behind their products. Zero customer service

Dryer will not work correctly

Dryer was delivered on 12/01. First time I used it I got a code D95 which means it sensed the vent was blocked. I had already had a professional vent cleaner cone out to ensure the vent was clean. I can only dry on bedding cycle to keep the sensor from giving a code. Today 12/19 a repair person is scheduled to come out to repair. Will change review when I know it will work correctly. Very unhappy as of right now

We bought this dryer after our house flooded in 2016. The sensory dryer settings have Never worked I contacted LG several times and ended up being advised to just use the manual setting So now we use the manual setting but have to run the 60 min cycle and re-run another 30-40 min to ensure the clothing is fully dry When I wash towels it takes AT LEAST 2 sometimes 3 cycles to dry. Seems they dont make things the way they use to

Did a lot of due diligence concerning the purchase of a washer and dryer for us. She and I came down to two or three major brands but based on the reviews we decided to go with the LG combo set of a washer and dryer. Very easy to use effective cleaning and drying. I recently purchased a new LG washer and dryer combination at Best Buy. My due diligence was very thorough reading many reviews from many manufacturers. LG seem to consistently be on or near the top even though it seemed that the number of viewers were put off or intimidated by the technology. Within 24 hours of delivery not only did I find them easy to operate but the functions available on both units are extremely impressive and add to effectiveness and efficiency. Very pleased with my purchase. Its only been a month or so but all is very good.

I bought this product and matching washer about 2 years and 4 months ago. I also own higher model LG refrigerator higher model gas Stove and microwave. Everything seems to be working great except the dryer motor is out and microwave above the door panel broken.

If you dont own any clothes with strings then you this dryer will work without problem for you. If you have pants sweatshirts tops etc with strings be cautious. There is a gap where the lint catcher is attached to the dryer. The ends of your strings will catch here while the clothes continue to spin. When you come back to remove your clothes the item will be messed up. You will be left with one side of the string normal and the other side coiled up. If you go through the trouble of untwisting and ironing the coiled side back out it will flatten but the strings will be thinner and longer than the original side. I contacted LG support for this and their only solution was to tie your strings up. Two main issues I have with this. First issue for the price of this dryer you shouldnt have to hide parts of your clothes. Second issue if you tie up the strings and dry them they will dry crinkled up. Then you either wear your attire with wrinkled ties or have to iron them out every time you wash them. Ive never had that issue with other brands and will remember this for future purchases as I look for something to replace this LG.

Auto Dry does not dry

I was highly disappointed with the product and with the companies costumer service. The drier door was not put on right and it opens the wrong way. The delivery person said it was their fault but it would take too long to fix. I tried calling customer service and just kept getting passed around and told they could not help me. Also the auto dry feature does not dry the clothing at all you have to put everything on Timed dry.

LG came highly recommended as one of the best brands for washer and dryers by my local appliance store. I purchased my dryer a little over a month a go and so far I am loving it My favorite feature is being able to check how much longer is left in the cycle and then being notified when the cycle is complete.

Washer does everything thats expected. A few pet peeves is there is no towels feature but you can save a setting for that type of wash. Also it took us a while to figure out that you did not need to select anything special when adding fabric softner. The washer apparenlty senses if its in the load.
